The EPA established this office to provide national leadership to increase
environmental literacy. A PDF version of The National Environmental Education
Act of 1990 is available for detailed information about this role. Also, learn
about the grant programs supporting environmental education projects and how to
apply for them, about training programs for educators, and about undergraduate
and graduate student fellowship programs. The Resources section of this site
provides access to the Catalog of EPA Environmental Education Materials, EPA
contacts, and extensive lists of Internet resources, including the many
environmental education sites developed by or with support from EPA---for
instance, the EPA's Kid's, Student's, and Teacher's sites or The Environmental
Education and Training Partnership ( http://www.eetap.org/ ) and EE-Link,
Environmental Education Link on the Internet ( http://eelink.net/ ) sites. This
section also links to a variety of online publications such as the Environmental
Education Toolbox and The National Report Card on Environmental Knowledge,
Attitudes and Behaviors.
